Global Initiatives Update

Simultaneously, RLI is officially moving forward with Phase 1 of our vital humanitarian partnership alongside the Maison des Orphelins et des Enfants de la Rue (MOERT). Funded directly by our dedicated Global Ministry Fund, this specific initiative delivers immediate relief to 35 vulnerable orphan children and frontline missionary families navigating a severe regional lean season. By covering direct school enrollment fees and providing custom school uniforms, we continue to fulfill RLI’s overarching vision: dismantling economic barriers and securing inclusive, equal access to education to restore childhood dignity in the Tandjilé Province and Logone Occidental

To lay a rock-solid foundation for this project, our RLI Board Advisor joined the local MOERT field team to secure essential local, traditional, and administrative backing:

• Office Preparation: The MOERT field team and our RLI Board Advisor set up their base of operations together, coordinating logistics and finalizing paperwork ahead of their critical regional summits.

• Community Alignment: The team held extensive outdoor consultations with the traditional Canton Chief of Maïkane and local elders to ensure exact, transparent targeting of beneficiaries.

• Official Authorization: A formal briefing session was held with the Sous-Préfet of Bah (the Local District Administrator for the Logone Occidental Province), successfully securing government alignment and official authorization for our ongoing field operations.

By pairing youth engagement with strict financial transparency and government-backed relief, RLI continues to stand as a reliable shelter of hope wherever life runs dry.
