Meet Our Team: Lucien Mbainaissem

Board Secretary

Lucien Mbainaissem serves as the Board Secretary at Rescue for Life International. Based in Chad, Lucien provides vital institutional oversight, ensuring that the organization’s executive governance, compliance framework, and transnational operations remain deeply aligned with its core humanitarian mission.

Lucien brings nearly two decades of profound field experience in child protection, social work, and rural community development to executive leadership. He holds a Professional Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and Humanities, with a specialized focus on the sociology of rural development from the Institut Supérieur Polytechnique la Francophonie in N'Djamena. His career is defined by a deep-rooted commitment to human rights and structural empowerment across Central Africa.

Before stepping into executive governance, Lucien spent years managing complex humanitarian crises on the frontlines. He has a distinguished track record of leading critical emergency interventions for international organizations, including SOS Children's Villages International and World Vision. His extensive fieldwork includes managing child protection and psychosocial support systems for Central African and Sudanese refugee emergency projects, organizing community health initiatives, and coordinating large-scale local development projects funded by the European Union and Bread for the World.

At Rescue for Life International, Lucien masterfully translates this extensive field-level wisdom into administrative strategy. Working in direct collaboration with his assistant, Honorine Koulanodji, his office bridges the gap between grassroots international programs and the Board of Directors in the United States. Proficient in French with a working knowledge of English, Lucien's collaborative spirit, operational discipline, and deep systemic insight ensure that Rescue for Life's administrative foundation remains strong, transparent, and built to withstand the complexities of global aid.
